Moneytrack Graphics Package
PBS: Moneytrack
digitalcore designed and assembled the graphics package for the nationally syndicated PBS show, Moneytrack.
Graphics packages usually include a show intro, graphic ""bumpers"" for show segments, lower thirds, and wipes. Aside from delivering these, digitalcore further developed the Moneytrack brand and visual identity. This included updating the logo and establishing a new color palette in line with the feeling and mood that Moneytrack desired.
This is not your grandfather's financial show. The program airs on Sunday mornings to a very wide PBS audience. For these reasons, Moneytrack didn't want the show — or it's graphic identity — to come off hardened, cold, or too serious, as its weekday counterparts do. Choosing a color palette that included several light, vivid colors helped give the show a fun, relaxed feel. As a result, Moneytrack has a very different look and feel from conventional financial shows.
On this project, digitalcore worked closely with three members of Moneytrack's team: Pam Krueger, the anchor and executive producer; Neil Alford, the show's producer; and Tony Welch at Beyond Pix, who was responsible for much of the production and post production. Working together, we were able to develop a visual identity that is accessible to a broad range of people and to create a cohesive graphics package that represents the Moneytrack brand.
