The new Symphony allows for unprecedented speed in online, allowing Real-Time Advanced 10Bit Color Correction, Real-time Secondary Color Correction, image stabilization and tracking, 10bit 3DVE and Real-Time Ultimatte compositing.
According to Avid, the new Symphony has a host of new features, which makes your online finish faster, and of better quality. The Symphony has the most advanced NLE Color Correction in the industry. Avid's Total Conform is the industry's fastest and most complete conform of Media Composer projects. The new Symphony system is based on Mac OSX, which provides speed, flexibility and seamless integration of design tools. In addition, the Symphony has real-time, dual-stream uncompressed video, effects and moving mattes.

In addition to the real-time effects above, the Symphony has real-time 2D and 10 bit 3DVE, uncompressed titles and graphics, spot color correction for intricate color correction to unlimited areas in each frame, scratch removal, intraframe editing, paint and AVX plug-in support. Symphony also has Boris RED for integrated advanced Titling and effects.
The Symphony's Universal editing and mastering allows editors to perform offline and online of any format, including 24P/25P, Film, and projects for film-based television. It cuts in a true 24 fps timeline, comprehensive film list support, real-time pan and scan and real-time multi-camera editing capabilities.
